POONCH, JANUARY 27: On the occasion of Republic Day, the Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Sharma visited children homes Parisha, Palash and Government Hostels for Girls (Pahari and Gujjar) to exchange the greetings of the day with the inmates.
The visit was a courtesy outreach during which the Deputy Commissioner shared sweets, extended warm greetings and interacted with the inmates to understand their issues and concerns. He assured them that genuine issues raised would be addressed on priority.
During the visit, District Social Welfare Officer, Khalil A. Banday briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the facilities available, issues faced by the inmates and the measures taken by the department for their welfare and well-being.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by ADC, ACR and other officers of the district administration.
