January 28: Police in Awantipora organised a training programme for Investigating Officers on the investigation of cases under the POCSO Act and crimes against women at District Police Lines Awantipora.
The programme aimed at enhancing the professional competence of Investigating Officers, with special emphasis on legal provisions, victim-centric approach, sensitivity while dealing with victims, and strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures in such sensitive cases.
The training programme was conducted by Awantipora Police, wherein the resource person, Shri Syed Anwar Rizwi Sr. Prosecuting Officer DPO Awantipora, delivered detailed lectures on the subject and shared practical insights on investigation and legal procedures.
Senior officers of Police District Awantipora including SDPOs, DySP DAR DPL, SHOs and In-charge Police Posts, were present during the training programme.
J&K Police reiterated its commitment to ensuring a professional, responsive, and humane policing approach, particularly in cases involving women and children.
