The grand launching ceremony of Northwire Dispatch, an English news magazine, was held today at the Conference Hall, Manasbal Tourist Resort, marking a significant milestone in the media and journalism landscape of Jammu & Kashmir. The event brought together journalists, media professionals, social activists, political leaders, police and civil administration officials, and prominent members of civil society.
Founded by journalist Suhail Maqbool, Northwire Dispatch aims to serve as a credible, responsible, and people-centric media platform committed to ethical journalism, factual reporting, and public-interest stories from across Jammu & Kashmir.
The programme commenced with an invocation, followed by a warm welcome address by Muntazir Muneer, who highlighted the vision, mission, and objectives behind the launch of Northwire Dispatch, emphasizing the importance of independent and accountable journalism in today’s society.
The Chief Guests, renowned broadcaster Shabnum Vijpari and BBC Valley Incharge Reyaz Masroor, addressed the gathering and underscored the need for strengthening professional journalism across Jammu & Kashmir.
