JK News Live

Calls for unity and justice; expresses concern over turmoil in the Muslim world, prays for peace in Iran and the Middle East

Srinagar, March 11, 2026: On the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Khaleefatul Muslimeen Hazrat Ali ibn Abi Talib (RA), Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq delivered a sermon at Aastane Aliya Dastgeer Sahib, Sarai Bala, Srinagar.

Addressing the gathering, the Mirwaiz paid rich tributes to Hazrat Ali (RA), describing him as one of the most towering personalities of Islam whose life embodied knowledge, courage, justice, humility and deep devotion to Allah. He said that Hazrat Ali (RA), the cousin and son-in-law of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the fourth Caliph of Islam, remains a timeless example of piety, wisdom and steadfastness for the Muslim Ummah.

The Mirwaiz said that the sacrifices of Hazrat Ali (RA) remind Muslims of the struggles faced by the early companions of the Prophet (SAW) in upholding truth and justice in the face of adversity. He added that the teachings and legacy of Hazrat Ali (RA) hold particular relevance today when the Muslim world is passing through difficult and turbulent times.

Expressing deep concern over the suffering and instability affecting parts of the Muslim world, especially the tensions in the Middle East and Iran, the Mirwaiz said that the Ummah must draw inspiration from the life of Hazrat Ali (RA), who stood firmly for justice, unity and righteousness.

The Mirwaiz prayed to Almighty Allah to protect the Muslim Ummah, grant peace and stability to troubled regions, particularly the Middle East, safeguard the people of Iran and other affected areas, and guide humanity towards justice and lasting peace. He also prayed that Allah grant the Ummah the ability to follow the noble path and teachings of Hazrat Ali (RA).
