GANDERBAL, MARCH 30: District Ganderbal today participated virtually in the Yuva Mahotsav organized as part of Mission YUVA by the Labour and Employment department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir.
The event was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah at the Convention Centre Jammu.
On the occasion, the Hon’ble Chief Minister launched several new initiatives, presided over a single-day mega disbursal drive aimed at strengthening entrepreneurship and creating livelihood opportunities for youth across the Union Territory.
The District Administration Ganderbal joined the function through video conferencing, with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore along with Additional District Development Commissioner, Manzoor Ahmad and other officers and officials attendijg the event, which also witnessed the participation of Mission Yuva beneficiaries from across the district.
The successful beneficiaries from Ganderbal who have established their ventures under Mission YUVA and were part of the event including Dr. Qamar-ul-Haq, who has set up a dental clinic at Kangan; Mr. Adil Ahmad, who established a library-cum-reading room at Barsoo; and Bittu Jee, who has started a restaurant at Kheer Bhawani Temple, Tulmullah. Their success stories reflect the positive impact of the scheme in promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship in the district.
While addressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner congratulated the beneficiaries for their achievements and encouraged youth to take advantage of Mission YUVA to become self-reliant. He emphasized that the administration will continue to provide full support to aspiring entrepreneurs and ensure effective implementation of the scheme at the grassroots level.
The participation highlighted the district’s commitment towards empowering youth and strengthening the local entrepreneurial ecosystem under Mission YUVA.
