DC Srinagar conducts onsite inspection of new Revenue Complexes for SDM East, Tehsil Office Khanyar, Tehsil Office Eidgah

Administration focusing on augmenting & modernizing Revenue infrastructure to promote efficiency, transparency and improved citizen services

SRINAGAR APRIL 07: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo on Tuesday conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing construction works for key Revenue infrastructure projects in district including the SDM East Office, Tehsil Office Khanyar and Tehsil Office Eidgah.

The visit aimed at reviewing the progress and quality of work being executed under the District Administration’s initiative to modernize and strengthen the Revenue infrastructure.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Aadil Fareed, Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Superintending Engineer R&B, Shabir Ahmad, SDM East, Zubair Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Umar Gulzar, Executive Engineer R&B Arif Hazari, Tehsildar Eidgah, Mohammad Iqbal and other concerned Officers.

During the inspection of the Revenue Complex for Tehsil Office Eidgah, the DC was informed that about 80% of the civil works have been completed. He directed the concerned Officers to expedite the remaining finishing works, including development of the approach road and installation of chain-link fencing around the complex boundary, while ensuring strict adherence to quality standards.

Similarly, the DC reviewed the progress of construction works for the new permanent Office buildings of SDM East and Tehsil Office Khanyar at Rainawari in the Shahr-e-Khaas area of the district. He assessed the status of structural works, finishing, and internal services and instructed the executing agency to ensure completion of both projects by May 2026, so that the facilities can be dedicated for public use at the earliest.

Emphasizing the importance of timely completion of Revenue infrastructure, the Deputy Commissioner reiterated that these upgraded Revenue complexes will significantly enhance public service delivery and provide improved access to revenue-related services for the citizens.

He further stated that the District Administration Srinagar is committed to augmenting and modernizing the Revenue setup to ensure efficient, transparent and citizen-friendly governance.
