Beerwah, Budgam: Social Activist Muzamil Mehmood attended a Community Awareness Program organized by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) at Town Hall Beerwah.The program was held in the presence of the Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar Beerwah, along with officials from the Fire & Emergency Services Beerwah.
The event witnessed active and enthusiastic participation from students of the SAM College of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, as well as Lumberdars and Chowkidars from across Tehsil Beerwah, reflecting strong community engagement in disaster preparedness initiatives.
The awareness program focused on imparting essential life-saving skills, including CPR techniques, earthquake preparedness, drowning prevention, and basic disaster management strategies. Demonstrations and interactive sessions conducted by NDRF personnel aimed at equipping participants with practical knowledge to effectively respond during emergencies.
Speaking on the occasion, Muzamil Mehmood emphasized the importance of such initiatives in building a resilient society. He highlighted that community-level awareness and preparedness are key to minimizing risks and saving lives during disasters.
