Srinagar, April 5: The forest protection force on Wednesday seized illegal timber along with a vehicle in Shirmal area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that a naka was laid at Ganawpora after information about smuggling illicit timber from forest area of Shopian.
He said the forest team interrupted a Tata Mobile loaded with illicit timber, but the driver of the vehicle taking advantage of darkness afled from the spot.
He said the timber along with vehicle was seized and further investigation has been initiated.
