EXCLUSIVE: Salman Khan once gifted Harley Davidson shoes to celebrity hair designer Darshan Yewalekar: ‘That man has so much on his platter but with every person, he connects

Bollywood actor Salman Khan is known to be a man with a big heart. He has often gone out of the way to help the people around him in his capacity.

He is also someone who often presents gifts to his team. One such moment happened with celebrity hair designer Darshan Yewalekar. He is the man behind several big names like Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh and has become one of the prominent names in the industry

Recalling such a moment with Salman Khan, Darshan recently revealed Salman had gifted him Harley Davidson shoes. He said, Bollywood Hungama, “I remember we were shooting for Jaaneman in New York. It’s this incident is so beautiful. We were shooting there for 42 days and I was an assistant merely getting paid pennies here and there. I used to collect money. So I collected and I had taken, I remember $142 for 42 days, that much I had that time and used to get an allowance on set like $5-$10. So you collect that and you eat and you do whatever, shop a little. Now, 40 days had passed. And then Bhai (Salman Khan) decided to go and shop. So he took all of us shopping. I’ve never seen anybody be with the entourage the way he is. It’s his family. He’s very personal about it. So we all got in the car. I said ‘we are going shopping’ and at that time the big brands are Diesel and Harley Davidson and I used to wear them a lot. I always admired Harley Davidson shoes and one day ‘I will buy’. You know you have that. So I think he had heard or he knew that I wanted to I don’t know, but we went to buy it. We went to the shop. So we landed at Harley Davidson. We all gotta walk. I entered the Harley Davidson store. I looked at the keychain price was $14; I only had $5 in my pocket on my I said ‘atleast I should check out the shoes’. They are all trying shoes and everybody’s like doing something I looked at the label and I was like ‘Let’s go to Diesel’.”

He continued, “I went to my car and where the car was parked, there was a pie pizza. In America, they call it a pie, so there’s a piece of a pie or you get a full pie. So I got a piece of the pie. It was for $2.5, so I took two pies or two pieces. One I was eating and one I gave it to my driver. It was a little nippy and also started eating and was like ‘I got my Puma shoes, I’m happy’, consoling myself. I got a call and was like ‘Salman Bhai, is calling you.’ I was like ‘What happened?’ I kept the call and ran towards the store. I was like ‘Yes?’ He said, ‘Go, buy the shoes, the story is closing!’ Can you believe it? It’s unsaid. You don’t have to ask. It’s unsaid. That man has so much on his platter but with every person, he knows, he connects.”
