Ganderbal, Feb 07 (KNO): Residents of Gangarhama in Ganderbal are grappling with severe difficulties caused by the deteriorating condition of their road.

Despite being just half a mile away from the Mini Secretariat, the road’s state is worse than that of many underdeveloped rural areas in the district.

The road is riddled with deep potholes, a result of the administration’s neglect in initiating immediate repairs. Locals have repeatedly pleaded with the authorities to address the issue, but their requests have fallen on deaf ears.

Residents fear for the safety of minors during the rainy season, as the deep potholes pose a risk of drowning.

The poor road conditions not only inconvenience commuters but also endanger pedestrians, especially children and the elderly.

Executive Engineer of the R&B department in Ganderbal told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that repair work will commence within days—(KNO)
