Burglary cases solved in Palhallan accused arrested, stolen property recovered : Police

Srinagar, Feb 28 (KS) : Police on Tuesday said that it has solved a burglary case in hamaray Palhallan area of North Kashmir Baramulla district on Tuesday.

In an official statement to Kashmir Scroll said that Police Post Palhallan received a complaint from one Mohd Shafi Pandith Son of Ali Mohd Pandith resident of Hamrey Pattan stating therein that during intervening nights of 27th & 28th February-2023 some unknown burglars broke open the lock of his storeroom of his home and stole electric transformer, battery and submersible water pump.

To this effect Police Station Pattan registered Case FIR number 64/2023 under relevant sections of law and investigation was started.

During the course of investigation of the case with the help of technical and human resources names of some suspects came to surface, one of them namely Bilal Ahmad Dar S/O Ghulam Mohd Dar R/O Chankhan Sopore was identified and was called for questioning. After thorough interrogation

he confessed that he has committed theft and, upon his disclosure, all stolen property was recovered from his possession and he was taken into custody immediately. The Vehicle he used for burglary was also seized. He added—
