Baramulla March 11 : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today condoled the sudden demise of International Wushu Player and General Secretary Wushu Association Baramulla, Jabeena Akthar of Dobiwan Tangmarg who passed away yesterday at her residence.
In this regard, a condolence meeting was held in the office chamber of Deputy Commissioner at DC Office Complex here.It is worth mentioning here that Jabeena Akhtar was known for her exceptional skills in Wushu besides for her philanthropic work, using her honorarium to help the needy and starving.
Expressing solidarity, Dr Sehrish Asgar extended her deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the grief stricken.
The DC while terming it a huge loss for the entire district said that Jabeena’s contributions to the world of sports will always be remembered and her legacy will continue to inspire athletes in the region.
Besides, other officers and officials of the department also offered condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
