Budgam, Mar 21 (KNO): Two young girls from central Kashmir’s Budgam district were felicitated by their seminary authorities and locals for memorizing the entire Qur’an. The girls belong to the Kaisermulla area of Chadoora in Budgam.
As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Tabassum Gul, daughter of Ghulam Mohammad Dar, a final year student; and Urfi Farooq, daughter of Farooq Ahmad Dar, a 12th-class student; achieved the feat under the guidance of their teacher for nearly two years.
According to their parents, the girls would visit the Darsgah (Islamic seminary) for one to two hours a day and wholeheartedly memorize the Qur’an over a period of nearly two years.
“It is important for everyone to seek Islamic knowledge as well because we have to leave this world one day and we should acquire what we actually need to take with us,” Tabassum told KNO.
She said that apart from attending college, she used to go to Darsgah every day to learn about Islam and memorize the Qur’an. “I thank Allah for giving me the potential to finally memories the Qur’an Shareef,” she said.
The Darsgah has been widely appreciated for its role in shaping the lives of young girls and providing them with valuable guidance and religious education.
The locals have expressed their admiration for the achievement of these girls and hailed their dedication and hard work required to memorize the entire Qur’an. “Both these girls proved that nothing is impossible,” said a local.
‘’Tabassum and Urfi’s success acts as motivation for others and emphasizes the value of commitment in achieving the goal(s). Their accomplishment is proof that Darsgah and other religious institutions play an important role in rightly guiding young people,” another local said.
Darsgah Instructor Waseem Ahmad while talking to KNO said, “I am pleased that my students have done it, and I thank Almighty Allah for blessing me by assigning me to lead them. I currently teach 150 students for almost an hour every day, and some of them are also memorizing the Qur’an.”
“We should focus on our religion in order to prepare for Aakhirat while keeping in mind that this life is transient. It is the responsibility of every Muslim to learn and understand the Qur’an; hence the parents must send their children to Darsgah,” he stressed—(KNO)
