Two vehicles involved in ferrying illegal material seized by the Geology Mining department Ganderbal

Ganderbal 17 Feb (KNZ): The Geology and mining department Ganderbal after Insistent complaints against illegal mining, a team led by DMO Ganderbal today laid crackdown at various locations of stone quarries at Safapora area and seized two vehicles involved in ferrying illegal material.

Reports said during the checking, two loaded Tata Mobiles involved, were seized by the department.

After seizures, the vehicles were kept in police custody till the realisation of penalty as per the mining rules.

The teams also checked the enforcement of notified rates of minor minerals and advised consumers to purchase minerals from legal sources only and stay away from illegal activities. (KNZ)
