Man arrested for killing his wife in Handwara

Handwara, Feb. 29 (KS): A 40-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly killed his wife in the Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday.

A police officer told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that the accused, identified as Mohd Maqbool Mir, had an argument with his wife (name withheld) over some family matter.

The official said this during the fight, resulting in the death of his wife.

He said the accused has been arrested, and the body has been shifted to the district hospital in Handwara for medical and legal formalities. (KS)
