DRUG PEDDLER APPREHENDED ALONGWITH CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE BY GANDERBAL POLICE IN THE JURISDICTION OF PS KANGAN

GANDERBAL: 16TH, APRIL 2024: Operation Drugs Free Ganderbal Continues.

In continuation to war against Drugs, Ganderbal Police arrested Drug Peddler alongwith Contraband Substance in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kangan.

On the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri

Sandeep Gupta-IPS under the supervision of SDPO Kangan Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS, a routine Naka was laid at Babanagri by the Police Party of PS Kangan led by SHO Inspector Mehboob Hussain.

The Police Party deputed at the Naka Checking saw one person coming from Babanagri in a suspicious condition and after seeing the police party, he tried to flew away from the spot. The police party showed presence of mind and caught hold of the person and on his personal search Contraband Cannabis plant seeds, flowers and leaves in crushed form and charas like substance recovered and seized on the spot & the accused was arrested. He disclosed his identity as Zakir Ahmad Kalas S/O Mohd Akbar Kalas R/O Babanagri Wangat.

In this regard, Case FIR No. *28/2024,* under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Kangan & further investigation taken up.

Ganderbal Police requests Community members to share information regarding Drug Peddlers with J&K Police in shaping crime free society and saving youth from severe menace of Drugs.
