Budgam Railway Station hosts Successful Plantation Drive Led by Foundation World School Mamath, Budgam

April 17, 2024 – Budgam: In a remarkable display of environmental stewardship, Grade 7 and 8 girls from Foundation World School joined hands with Northern Railways for a Plantation Drive at Budgam Railway Station. This initiative, in line with the school’s Theme of the Year “Guardians of the Earth: Embracing Responsibility and Accountability,” saw enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, railway officials, and even parents.

Led by Sh. Saqib Yousuf, IRTS, Chief Area Manager, and Mr. Ummar Sheriff, Executive Principal, the event was marked by a spirit of collaboration and commitment to environmental conservation. As saplings found their new homes around the station premises, the air was filled with a sense of pride and purpose.

“It’s wonderful to witness such proactive involvement from our young generation,” remarked Sh. Saqib Yousuf, expressing his appreciation for the initiative.
