Jammu, Apr 27: The SHO of Janipur Police Station-Jammu was attached after a man committed suicide alleging harassment by Police. The family of the deceased staged a strong protest demonstration after which the SHO of Janipur Police Station was attached, the spokesman said.
A 47-year-old man allegedly committed suicide on Saturday alleging Police harassment in a video and in a suicide note, the Police spokesman said.

The deceased Rajesh Kumar was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his Janipur residence late Friday evening. The family of the deceased staged a strong protest demonstration outside Janipur Police Station after the suicide note was found from the possession of the deceased alleging harassment by Police.
Later, the body of the deceased was handed over to the family after post-mortem. The family again blocked the Janipur main road and demanded action against erring officials. The protesters lifted the blockade after they were assured that action will be taken against the guilty if any.
