Narco-terror Module Busted in Baramulla, 3 Held

Baramulla, May 09 : Police in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district claimed to have busted a narcotics module and arrested three persons in this regard.

Addressing a press conference SSP Baramulla Amod Nagpuri as per news agency Kashmir Scroll said that Police Station Uri received specific information that one Mehmood Ahmad Najar, son of Mohd Hassan Najar of Churunda, and Sajad Ahmad Malik, son of Mohd Amin Malik of Dhanisyedan, are involved in narcotics smuggling.

He said that on this information, FIR No. 35/2024 was registered under Sections 8/21 and 29 of the NDPS Act, and an investigation was set into motion.

During the investigation, both suspects were detained, and they disclosed that they had concealed contraband substance and cash at Churanda. Based on this information, a police party accompanied by a Magistrate and with the assistance of the Army, searched the spot and recovered the contraband substance and cash.
