SHOPIAN: Two Militant associates were held by the joint team of forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, Police said here on Saturday.
A top police officer said that during Joint Naka checking by Shopian Police along with 44 RR and 14th battalion CRPF at Malik Chak crossing, two militant associates were held
They have been identified as Suhaib Iqbal Malik son of Mohd Iqbal Malik resident of Baba mahalla Shopian and Tufail Yousuf Malik son of Mohd Yousuf Malik resident of Baba Mohalla Shopian.
They were held with Incriminating Material and in this regard a case FIR No. 14/2024 under relevant sections of UA(P)A has been registered in Police Station Heerpora and the investigation is underway, the officer said.
