Srinagar, 19July 2024// The Shahr-e-Khaas Literary & Cultural Welfare Society, in collaboration with Angel’s Cultural Academy, organized a humanitarian camp at Alamgiri Bazar to support volunteers engaged in the Muharram processions. This initiative, spearheaded by Mr. Tariq Ahmad Shera, President of both organizations, aimed to distribute water and juices to volunteers participating in the sacred month of Muharram, a significant period in the Islamic calendar.

The camp provided much-needed relief to those involved in the religious rituals, ensuring they had access to clean and refreshing beverages. Mr. Tariq Ahmad Shera’s dedication and commitment were evident as he personally oversaw the distribution efforts, making sure every volunteer’s needs were met. His selfless contribution garnered praise from many, including dignitaries who visited the camp.

Notably, Mr. Shera received appreciation from Syed Abul Qasim, the Joint Commissioner of Srinagar Municipality Corporation, for his compassionate act during Muharram.

At the conclusion of the program, certificates were distributed to volunteers from both organizations who played a crucial role in the success of the event. Honorees included Nazir Ahmad Salmani, Farooq Ahmad, Mehjabeen Gousia, Sahil Fayaz, Farhan Shafi & Aamir Muzaffar Shah who worked alongside Mr.Tariq Ahmad Shera to ensure the smooth execution of the distribution.

The initiative by Shahr-e-Khaas Literary & Cultural Welfare Society and Angel’s Cultural Academy reflects their ongoing commitment to community welfare and the spirit of service during significant religious observances.
