Bear kills a man in Central Kashmir’s Khag

Budgam, Aug 1: A tragic incident occurred in the Sugan area of Khag, Budgam, when a bear mauled to death a middle-aged man while he was grazing cattle.

The victim was identified as Ghulam Ahmad Lone 45, a resident of Sugan Yarinar Khag.

According to eyewitnesses, the bear suddenly appeared from the nearby forest and attacked the victim, who was tending to his cattle in a nearby field. Despite attempts to rescue him, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

“The bear was very aggressive and wouldn’t let anyone near,” said a local resident. “It’s a tragic loss for the family.”(KNT)
