J&K POLICE DISTRICT GANDERBAL ARRESTED NOTORIOUS DRUG PEDDLER; CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE RECOVERED & SEIZED.
GANDERBAL 28TH, OCTOBER 2024 War against Drugs Continue; J&K Police District Ganderbal arrested a Notorious Drug Peddler in the Jurisdiction of PS Ganderbal & Contraband Substance recovered and Seized. Police Station Ganderbal received information through reliable source that one person namely *Mohd Rafiq Shah S/O Mohd Shafi Shah R/O Rakh Harran* has concealed some Contraband/Psychotropic substance at his residential house with an intention to sell it to the local youth of the area. Acting swiftly, special Police team led by SHO Ganderbal Shri Manzoor Ahmad conducted a search along with Executive Magistrate 1st Class. During search, 141 Bottles of Codeine like Psychotropic substance were recovered, Seized from the Compound/Premises of the said house and the accused was arrested on the spot.
Subsequently, Case FIR No. 276/2024 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at PS Ganderbal & further investigation taken up.
J&K Police District Ganderbal requests citizens to come forward & share inputs about Drug Peddlers, so that young generation can be saved from the dreadful abuse of Drug Addiction.
