Srinagar, Nov 6, KNT: BJP legislator Sham Lal Sharma vehemently denounced the resolution on Article 370 passed by Jammu Kashmir Assembly on Monday.
He accused the National Conference of playing a mischievous role in Jammu Kashmir politics since 1947 when India was portioned and Pakistan emerged.
Sham Lal Sharma who switched from Congress party to BJP after Modi took charge in Centre chanted religious slogans in the Assembly.
He called National Conference leader and Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Singh Chowdary as ‘Jai Chand of Jammu’ and raised slogans like “Jai Shri Ram”, “Pakistani Agenda Nahi Chalega”, “5 August Zindabad” and ‘Anti National Agenda Nahi Chalega”
Sharma was Health Minister during NC-Congress government in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Assembly today passed the resolution seeking the restoration of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir with a majority vote. Only BJP members opposed the resolution. [KNT]
