Ganderbal 7 Dec : GDC Ganderbal emerges as Winners in Inter College Cricket Tournament (Women) – 2024.
The final of the Inter College Womens Cicket Tournament, organized by HKM Government Degree College Bandipora, was held on December 5, 2024. The thrillng match was played between the Host College, HKM GDC Bandipora, and GDC Ganderbal. Demonstrating superior skills and teamwork, GDC Ganderbal emerged victorious, defeating the host team by seven wickets.
PWinning the toss, the host team opted to bat first but struggled against the disciplined bowling attack of GDC Ganderbal. The team was bowled out for a modest total of 52 runs in just 12 overs. In response, GDC Ganderbal comfortably chased the target, losing only three wickets. The standout performer of the match was Nighat Mushtaq, who contributed significantly with both bat and ball earning her the title of player of the Tournament.
GDC Ganderbal displayed an all round performance, excellence in batting, bowling and fielding, which ultimately secured their comprehensive victory.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by senior faculty members of the host college.
Principal GDC Ganderbal, Prof Fouzia Fatima congratulated the team and acknowledged their efforts and achievements.
