Ganderbal 23 Dec : Department of Mathematics,Government Degree College Ganderbal observed Mathematics Day, a momentous occasion that aimed to promote the importance and beauty of mathematics among students. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Mujeeb Kawoosa, Head of the Department of Mathematics, who delivered a thought-provoking lecture on the significance of mathematics in our daily lives.
Dr. Mujeeb Kawoosa, the keynote speaker, took the stage and delivered an engaging lecture on the “Beauty and Importance of Mathematics.” He explained how mathematics is an integral part of our daily lives, from simple calculations to complex problem-solving. Dr. Kawoosa also highlighted the contributions of famous mathematicians and their discoveries that have shaped the world we live in today.
The lecture was followed by a question-and-answer session, where students enthusiastically participated and asked thought-provoking questions. The event also included a mathematics quiz competition, where students showcased their mathematical skills and competed with each other.
