Says, Jammu will not face losses but will get benefitted by Rail connectivity
Srinagar, Jan 6 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah congratulated people on the trial train run from Srinagar to Katra, emphasizing its benefits for the region.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Omar Abdullah as per news agency JKNS said, “We got good news that a trial train was run from Srinagar to Katra. It is hoped that it will start functioning soon.
This connectivity will benefit the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially trade and tourism. We face challenges with air travel in winters, with tickets costing as much as Rs 25,000. Rail connectivity will ease this burden, facilitate cargo transfer, and help industries.
Omar added that, “I assure the people of Jammu that this will not cause any loss but instead bring economic benefits.” (JKNS)
