Ganderbal 07 April 2025: The Central University of Kashmir (Tulmulla Campus) in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Ganderbal and BMO Ganderbal organized a one-day health camp and awareness session to mark World Health Day on April 7, 2025. The camp was inaugurated by honorable vice chancellor of CUK in presence of BMO Gbl and various officers of CUK and health department.
The event, held under the theme “Healthy Beginning, Hopeful Futures,” aimed to raise awareness about Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and promote general health and well-being among the university community and the local population.
A team of healthcare professionals from DH and block ganderbal conducted free general screenings, dental checkups, and provided consultations and health education sessions. Students, faculty members, and local residents actively participated in the camp, benefiting from the medical services and informative talks on preventive healthcare.
Speaking on the occasion, university officials and medical officers emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and lifestyle modifications in combating NCDs, which are becoming a growing public health concern in the region.
The health camp concluded with a positive response and a commitment to continue such collaborative efforts for the betterment of community health.
