JK News Live

Rajouri, June 10, KNT: Security forces on Tuesday uncovered a militant hideout in the remote village of Darra Barachara in the Thanamandi area of Rajouri district and recovered a cache of arms and supplies, officials said.

The joint operation, carried out by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police, led to the seizure of 10 Under Barrel Grenade Launchers (UBGLs), a damaged ammunition box, a blanket, plastic tarpaulin, medical supplies, utensils, and other daily-use items.

Officials said the recovery points to the possibility that militants had been using the site as a temporary shelter. However, no arrests were made during the operation.

The police said that the search operation was part of ongoing efforts by security agencies to eliminate militant infrastructure in the Pir Panjal region. [KNT]
