KFUPM Academic Ambassadors visit IUST to explore collaborations

 Awantipora, April 02:  As part of its internationalisation efforts, the Office of International Affairs at the Islamic University of Science and Technology Awantipora hosted student ambassadors from the Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd University (KFUPM). The KFUPM delegates interacted with the graduating students and discussed about the fully-funded scholarships and the procedures to apply at the university.

 The session was presided over by Dean Academic Affairs IUST Prof. Ayaz Hassan Moon who underlined the emphasis on internationalisation of higher education under the National Educational Policy (NEP).

 On this occasion, Aaqib Ali student ambassador from KFUPM spoke at length about the facilities and opportunities that couod be availed of by the students. The primary objective of the event was to apprise students about the fully-funded scholarships that KFUPM offers, the application procedures, and explore scope for fostering collaborative initiatives.

Pertinently,KFUPM is a top global engineering university and is ranked  as the top university in the Middle East and Africa.

 Earlier Dean Students Dr Asifa Baba, presented the introductory remarks, while Dean Outreach Dr Ruheela Hassan proposed the vote of thanks. The session was coordinated by the Incharge International Affairs Dr Monisa Qadiri, who also delivered the welcome address.

 The session was attended by Heads, faculty members and students from different departments. The proceedings of the program were conducted by Nazakat Aslam, student of journalism at the university.
