Admin Issues Public Advisory For Regulation Of Traffic Movement On Mughal Road

Jammu, August 28: District Administration Poonch on Thursday issued traffic advisory for general public including Kashmir bound vehicles.

According to an order issued by Deputy Commissioner Poonch, a copy of which lies with GNS reads, “In view of the prevailing weather conditions and keeping the safety and security of commuters travelling on Mughal Road, the following advisory is hereby issued for the information of general public and concerned authorities.

Kashmir bound traffic from Chandimarh

Traffic shall be allowed only upto 4:30 PM.No movement of vehicle shall be permitted under any circumstances after 4:30pm except in cases of medical emergencies or vehicles on government duty duly authorized by the Competent Authority.

Jammu bound traffic from Peer Ki Gali

Traffic shall be allowed only upto 4:00 PM. No movement of vehicle shall be permitted under any circumstances after 4:00 PM except in cases of medical emergencies or vehicles on government duty duly authorized by the Competent Authority.

The general public is advised to strictly follow the above timings and plan their travel accordingly and extend cooperation to the District Administration to avoid unnecessary obstruction and inconvenience.

Sr. Superintendent of Police Poonch/ADMs/SDMS/SDPOS/DIO/Tehsildars/ SHOs/DTI concerned shall ensure dissemination of this Advisory through requisite media and shall also ensure compliance of this Advisory in letter and spirit.

This advisory is issued in the interest of public safety, traffic management and smooth movement of vehicles, reads the order.
