Continuing its unwavering drive against drug menace, Ganderbal Police apprehended a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession in the jurisdiction of PS Kangan.
During routine patrolling near Old Akhal Bridge, police personnel noticed a person roaming under suspicious circumstances. Upon checking, contraband Charas-like substance was recovered and the accused was apprehended on the spot and has been identified as Riyaz Ahmad Khan S/o Mohd Ashraf Khan R/o Parun Kunmulla, Akhal.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 67/2025 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kangan and further investigation has been taken up.
