THANA DIWAS OBSERVED BY GANDERBAL POLICE AT POLICE STATION GUND.
SSP GANDERBAL SHRI KHALIL AHMAD POSWAL-JKPS PRESIDED THE EVENT.

Ganderbal, 11th October 2025: As part of its community outreach and public grievance redressal initiative, Ganderbal Police today observed Thana Diwas at Police Station Gund. The event was presided over by SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal–JKPS, who interacted with local residents, community representatives, and members of various public bodies.

During the interaction, participants highlighted several public issues and policing-related matters concerning their respective areas. The SSP Ganderbal gave a patient hearing to all grievances and assured timely redressal in coordination with the concerned civil departments.

The event witnessed active participation from respectable citizens, PRI members, local Auqaf Committees, Gujjar & Bakerwals and members of the backward community, who appreciated the initiative of Ganderbal Police for providing a direct platform to the public to voice their concerns.

Speaking on the occasion, SSP Ganderbal reiterated that Thana Diwas serves as a vital bridge between the police and the public, aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and trust in policing. He emphasized that community cooperation is essential for ensuring peace, harmony, and effective law enforcement in the district.

Ganderbal Police reaffirmed its commitment to continue such interactive programmes across all police stations to strengthen police-public relations and address community issues proactively.
