Fixes department wise responsibilities for impactful celebration of the Day
SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 24: Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Shishir Gupta today convened a meeting of officers of district administration and security forces to take stock of arrangements to be put in place for ensuing Republic Day 2026 celebrations here at Meeting Hall of Mini-Secretariat Shopian.
The meeting held threadbare discussions on arrangements to be put in place at the venue including security, car parking, transportation, illumination of Govt. buildings, refreshments, water, Power, Public Address System, award ceremony, cultural programs, Reception, Media Gallery, Medicare facilities besides accommodation for the participants.
The department wise responsibilities were fixed for adherence and directed to ensure impactful celebration of the functions at District Level, subdivisional, tehsil and instutional levels.
The DC also instructed the concerned to organise colorful cultural programmes to mark the event along with presentation of March past contingents and called upon officers to put in place elaborate and fool proof arrangements for Republic Day celebration and Full dress rehearsal.
The contingents of Police, CRPF, Home Guard, NCC, FPF, besides school contingents will be the part of celebration for the presentation of March past.
The meeting was attended by SSP, Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary; ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone; ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz, ACR, SDM, officers of district administration and officers from security forces.
