Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal releases Annual Calendar by District Information Centre

GANDERBAL, JANUARY 07: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore today released the Annual Calendar brought out by the District Information Centre, Ganderbal.

The calendar reflects the natural beauty, cultural heritage, spiritual significance and developmental profile of District Ganderbal through a series of carefully curated photographs. The calendar highlights prominent tourist destinations including Sonamarg, Thajiwas Glacier, Manasbal Lake and the scenic alpine lakes of Vishansar and Krishansar, showcasing the district’s rich landscape and tourism potential.

The calendar also features prominent religious and heritage sites such as the Shrine of Sayed Qamar-ud-Din Shah Sahib in Ganderbal town, ancient Naranag Temple, Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple at Tullmulla and the holy Amarnath Cave, representing faith, devotion and communal harmony.

The calendar provided a platform to local photographers to showcase their works and also served as an encouragement for budding photographers.

DC appreciated the efforts of the District Information Centre in creatively portraying the district’s multifaceted identity and said that the calendar serves as an effective medium to promote tourism, cultural heritage and developmental achievements of Ganderbal.
