REASI, JANUARY 20: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik today convened a comprehensive review meeting in the VC Room of the DC Office Complex, Reasi to finalise arrangements for the smooth and dignified celebration of Republic Day–2026 in the district.
The main Republic Day function will be held at the General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium, Reasi, where the National Flag will be hoisted by the chief guest. The Deputy Commissioner emphasised that the celebrations should reflect the spirit of patriotism, discipline and active public participation.
Detailed deliberations were held on all key aspects of the celebrations, including parade arrangements, cultural programmes, seating and enclosure plans, traffic regulation, sanitation, electricity, drinking water supply, health services, fire safety and overall venue management. The line departments were directed to work in close coordination to ensure flawless execution of their assigned responsibilities.
The Additional Superintendent of Police assured the meeting of foolproof security arrangements, including adequate deployment of security personnel for crowd management, traffic control and round-the-clock surveillance.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned officers to perform their duties with dedication and commitment, stressing the need for meticulous planning and timely execution to make the Republic Day celebrations a grand success and a memorable occasion for the citizens of Reasi.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, ADC Rakesh Kumar, CPO Narinder Kumar, PO POSHAN, CEO and other concerned officers.
