JAMMU, JANUARY 20: Director Agriculture Jammu, Anil Gupta, today convened a high-level meeting here in the Conference Hall of Krishi Bhawan, to review the physical and financial progress of major agricultural initiatives across the Division.
The review focused on the implementation status of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS), Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) works and NABARD-funded projects.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) Jammu, Sanjay Anand; Deputy Director Agriculture (Planning), Mohd. Yaqoob Zargar; Technical Officer HADP (DoAJ), Raj Kumar along with officers from the CSS, Planning and PMFBY sections of the Directorate. The Chief Agriculture Officers participated through video conferencing.
The Officers delivered detailed presentations, highlighting scheme-wise and component-wise physical achievements, financial expenditure and progress vis-à-vis the approved targets under HADP projects, CSS, CAPEX and NABARD schemes.
The Director Agriculture emphasized the need for judicious utilization of allocated funds to provide maximum benefits to the farming community. He stressed on maintaining transparency, accountability and strict adherence to guidelines while accelerating the pace of implementation.
Specific stress was laid on meeting the set targets under the HADP project -Promotion of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants, timeline completion of up-gradation works approved under CAPEX and regular training and capacity-building of farmers under the HADP projects.
The Director further directed the concerned officers to update the prescribed Google Sheets regularly and submit the updated information to the Directorate within the stipulated time for effective monitoring and review.
