Srinagar, 22 Jan: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Women’s Wing State President and MLA Habba Kadal, Adv. Shameema Firdous Thursday distributed financial assistance to families affected by recent fire incidents in various localities of the constituency.
Firdous distributed cheques worth ₹17.75 lakh among fire-affected families of Ganpatyar, Karphali Mohalla, Narparistan, Fateh Kadal, and Dukan-e-Sangeen. As part of the relief package, 11 families whose houses were fully damaged received ₹1 lakh each, while another 11 families with partially damaged houses were provided ₹50,000 each. Additionally, eight other affected families were given financial assistance of ₹25,000 each.
Earlier, she visited Sheikh Mohalla, Mughal Mohalla, and Sajad Abad to review the progress of ongoing developmental works and interacted with locals to assess their concerns and requirements.
