KUPWARA, JANUARY 23: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse today took stock of ongoing snow clearance operations and inspected the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kupwara to review healthcare arrangements in view of the prevailing snowfall conditions in the district.
While inspecting SDH Kupwara, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with doctors, paramedical staff, and patients, including those admitted in the Emergency Ward. He assessed the availability and functioning of essential medical services, infrastructure, and facilities to ensure uninterrupted healthcare delivery during adverse weather.
The Deputy Commissioner also inspected surrounding areas to closely monitor ground conditions and assess the impact of the snowfall. He reviewed ongoing snow clearance operations and was informed that all major roads in Kupwara town have been cleared under his direct supervision, ensuring smooth vehicular movement and enhanced public safety.
Subsequently, the DC visited various market areas of Kupwara town to take stock of the overall situation. He interacted with shopkeepers and local residents and reviewed the functioning of essential services. He directed the concerned departments to remain vigilant, continue snow clearance operations in inner lanes and link roads, and ensure uninterrupted supply of essential commodities to the public.
Reiterating the district administration’s commitment, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized timely response, public convenience, and safety, assuring that all necessary measures are being taken to mitigate the impact of adverse weather conditions.
