GANDERBAL POLICE OBSERVES “NATIONAL VOTER’S DAY–2026” WITH PLEDGE CEREMONY AT DPO GANDERBAL

GANDERBAL: 25th, JANUARY 2026: Ganderbal Police  today marked “National Voter’s Day–2026” with a solemn and inspiring pledge-taking ceremony held at the District Police Office (DPO) Ganderbal, reaffirming their commitment to democratic values and electoral responsibility.

On the occasion, SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal–JKPS administered the Voter’s Pledge to officers and jawans. The personnel pledged to uphold the democratic traditions of the nation and to support free, fair, and ethical participation in the electoral process. The participants also resolved to exercise their right to vote responsibly and to motivate citizens to take part in elections without fear, pressure, or inducement.

Speaking during the ceremony, SSP Ganderbal underscored the significance of National Voter’s Day in raising awareness about the power of the vote and the vital role it plays in strengthening the foundations of democracy. He emphasized that police personnel, as disciplined and responsible citizens, must not only cast their votes but also act as ambassadors of voter awareness within society.

The observance of National Voter’s Day  by Ganderbal Police reflects their continued dedication to civic responsibility and their steadfast role in supporting a vibrant, inclusive, and participatory democracy.
