CEO Ganderbal Conducts Surprise Inspections; Emphasizes 2026 as ‘Year of Academic Excellence’

GANDERBAL, FEB 27: To ensure the seamless functioning of educational institutions following the winter break and to bolster academic standards, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Ganderbal, Oneel Kumar Bhat, today conducted a series of surprise inspections across various schools in the district.

The schools inspected during the visit included Government Boys High School (BHS) Tullamulla, Girls Higher Secondary Tullamulla (GHSS Tullamulla) Government Boys High School (BHS) Theeru, and Government Girls Primary School Theeru.

During his visit, CEO Oneel Kumar Bhat meticulously reviewed the student attendance, the punctuality of the teaching staff, and the maintenance of school records. He took a keen interest in the classroom transactions, interacting directly with students to gauge their foundational literacy and numeracy levels.

The CEO also inspected and reviewed the sanitation facilities, emphasizing that a healthy and clean environment is non-negotiable for student welfare.

Addressing the staff during his tour, the CEO highlighted the recent landmark declaration by the Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Mr. Naseer Ahmad Wani(JKAS), who officially designated 2026 as the “Year of Academic Excellence.”

”This is not just a slogan but a mission-mode initiative,” CEO Oneel Kumar Bhat stated.

“Under the leadership of Director Naseer Ahmad Wani, the department has released a comprehensive Academic Calendar to institutionalize systematic planning. Our goal in Ganderbal is to ensure that every school translates this vision into tangible results, focusing on measurable learning outcomes and the holistic development of every child.”

The CEO warned that any laxity in academic delivery or administrative discipline would not be tolerated. He instructed the Heads of Institutions (HoIs) tostrictly adhere to the newly released Academic Calendar 2026.

Ensure 100% daily online reporting and maintain transparency in school records.Focus on the effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to bridge learning gaps.

The CEO concluded by assuring that such surprise inspections will continue across the district to ensure that no child is left behind in the pursuit of academic brilliance.
