Anantnag, March 2:Cyber Police Station, District Police Anantnag, has issued a strong public advisory urging all social media users to refrain from uploading, sharing, or circulating any content that could disturb the prevailing law and order situation or create panic among the general public.
In an official statement, the Cyber Police warned that any post, video, message, or comment promoting rumours, misinformation, provocation, or public unrest will invite strict legal action under relevant provisions of law.
The advisory emphasized that citizens must act responsibly and verify information from official and credible sources before sharing it on digital platforms.
Police authorities have appealed to the public to cooperate in maintaining peace, cyber discipline, and public harmony across the district.
“Let us work together to ensure stability and responsible online behaviour,” the statement reads.
