GANDERBAL, MARCH 12: A meeting of the District Rent Assessment Committee was today held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, to review and finalize rent assessment cases of various government offices functioning in private rented buildings across the district.
During the meeting, the committee examined 38 pending cases related to rent fixation and reassessment of buildings housing government offices. DC emphasized the importance of maintaining transparency and adherence to prescribed norms while assessing rents of private buildings being used for government purposes. He directed the concerned officers to ensure that all pending cases are processed and disposed-off in a time-bound manner to avoid inconvenience to the building owners as well as the departments concerned.
