Budgam, 24 March 2026: In a significant breakthrough, Budgam Police have solved three theft cases, arrested the accused, and recovered stolen property worth approximately ₹6 lakhs.

Police Station Budgam had received multiple complaints regarding theft incidents over the past few months. Accordingly, FIR Nos. 31/2026, 34/2026, and 50/2026 were registered, and investigations were initiated.

During the investigation, analysis of CCTV footage and technical evidence led to the identification and arrest of the accused persons. During sustained questioning, they confessed to their involvement in multiple thefts from residential houses.

Based on their disclosure, stolen items—including copper utensils, electronic gadgets, and other household goods—were recovered from several receiver-accused persons.

All accused persons are currently in police custody, and further investigation is underway to determine their involvement in other cases.

Budgam Police urge citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
