SRINAGAR, MARCH 30: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Srinagar today organised an awareness programme at Central Jail Srinagar on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relating to premature release, parole, and furlough.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Haq Nawaz Zargar, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge), Srinagar and under the supervision of Tabassum Qadir, Secretary, DLSA Srinagar.
Tasneem Kausar, Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defence Counsel, along with Ayesha and Minhaj, Assistant Legal Aid Defence Counsels, conducted the session and provided detailed information to the inmates regarding eligibility criteria and procedural aspects of parole, furlough, and premature release.
The initiative aimed at promoting legal awareness among inmates and ensuring that they are informed about the available legal remedies and entitlements.
