Multi themed awareness programme held at Ramban

RAMBAN, APRIL 08: The District Administration Ramban today hosted live streaming of the inaugural function of a three-day Divisional Level Awareness Programme on themes mental health, drug de-addiction, career counselling, traffic awareness and environmental protection.

Meanwhile, an awareness programme was also held here under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan. The programme was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police Mujeeb Ur Rehman; Principal Government Degree College Prof. Romesh Kumar Atri; District Social Welfare Officer Sahil Bhagotra; Tehsildar Headquarters Reejuta Mahajan; ARTO Varun Bhasin and other officers and officials.

Students and representatives from the government departments and educational institutions participated enthusiastically in the programme.

Thr Additional Superintendent of Police sensitized the participants about traffic rules and road safety measures, urging students to use helmets and seat belts for their protection while driving. He also emphasized the importance of plantation for a healthy environment and advised the youth to stay away from the menace of drug abuse.

Later, expert sessions and lectures were delivered by representatives from the Forest, Medical and Social Welfare Departments, besides faculty members from Government Degree College. The sessions focused on mental health, drug de-addiction, career counselling, traffic awareness and environmental protection.

Students from Government Model Higher Secondary School presented a skit on the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, while students from other educational institutions presented cultural programmes highlighting social awareness themes. The participants also took a pledge to promote cleanliness and water conservation.

The programme was coordinated by CEO Shakiel Ul Rehman Rounyal. The programme concluded on a positive note, highlighting the importance of awareness, inter-departmental coordination and active student participation in building an informed, healthy and responsible society.
