Chief Secretary interacts with All Ladakh Goba Association on preparations for Sacred Buddha Relics Exposition

Leh, April 17, 2026: The Chief Secretary of UT Ladakh, Ashish Kundra, today interacted with members of the All Ladakh Goba Association to discuss preparations for the forthcoming exposition of the Sacred Buddha Relics, scheduled to be held from May 1 to May 15, 2026.
During the interaction, detailed deliberations were held on various aspects of the organisation and scheduling of the sacred exposition.
The Chief Secretary emphasised the importance of coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the event, which is expected to attract many devotees and visitors from across the region and beyond.
Members of the All Ladakh Goba Association shared their views and suggestions, highlighting the crucial role of village representatives in facilitating community participation and maintaining effective local coordination during the exposition.
The Chief Secretary also specifically urged all Goba, particularly those in and around Leh city, to ensure cleanliness and sanitation in their respective areas in the lead-up to the event.
Additionally, Goba from far-flung areas raised concerns regarding transportation and requested the provision of adequate bus services to facilitate smooth travel for residents wishing to attend the exposition.

CM Omar Abdullah meets delegations, assures time-bound redressal of public issues JAMMU, APRIL 17: Several legislators, delegations and individuals today called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, raising several issues concerning them for redressal. Former minister and legislator Abdul Majid Wani, and former legislator Chaman Lal from Ramban, highlighted key concerns pertaining to their respective areas.
