Jubilee batches to be honoured

Srinagar, April 30: The Alumni Association of National Institute of Technology Srinagar has extended the deadline for alumni registration for SANGAM 3.0 to May 5, 2026, allowing more former students to participate in the upcoming flagship reunion event.

Officials said alumni from the Jubilee Batches of 1965/1966, 1975/1976, and 2000/2001 will be honoured as Guests of Honour during the programme in recognition of their longstanding association with the institute.

As part of the preparations, branch-wise mandals have been constituted for the ABC (Alumni Back to Classroom) Programme, aimed at strengthening academic engagement between alumni and current students.

The announcement follows the success of SANGAM–2025, a two-day alumni event that saw participation from graduates across the country, focusing on reconnecting alumni and reinforcing institutional ties.

The previous edition was organised under the leadership of Alumni Association President Prof. M. S. Mir and Vice President Er. Aamir Ali, with key support from the Office of the Dean, Alumni & International Affairs, headed by Prof. (Dr.) M. A. Shah. The organising team also included Associate Dean Prof. (Dr.) H. S. Pali.

A large number of students from all branches attended the meeting at the New Guest House, where branch-wise mandals were constituted.

SANGAM continues to serve as a platform for alumni engagement, mentorship, and institutional collaboration, strengthening the institute’s academic ecosystem.
