DC Ganderbal reviews progress on Digitization of Revenue Records and updation of Backlog Mutations

GANDERBAL, MAY 02: A meeting to review the progress of digitization of Revenue Records and updation of backlog mutations was held today under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore.

During the meeting, officers from various tehsils presented updates on pending cases and ongoing digitization work.

The DC directed officials to ensure that all pending corrections are completed within the stipulated timeframe. Emphasis was laid on improving accuracy in land records and ensuring timely updates.

To address the issues faced in updation of backlog mutations, the DC stressed optimal utilization of manpower and called for strengthening field-level capacity, including better deployment of patwaris. Officials were asked to maintain close coordination and submit regular progress reports.

Progress under the SVAMITVA scheme was also reviewed, with directions to ensure timely sharing and verification of maps in coordination with concerned departments. The meeting also discussed the progress of certificate issuance in case of SVAMITVA surveyed villages and highlighted the need for better coordination among field staff.

The DC directed all officers to work in a mission mode and ensure visible improvement in disposal rates, with a clear focus on accountability and timely service delivery.
