02 persons arrested for illegally procuring/selling Kerosene oil in Beerwah:- Police
Srinagar, Feb 15 (KS) : Two persons were arrested for selling kerosene oil illegally in Beerwah area of Pulwama district.
Police in a statement to The kashmir Scroll said that police Station Beerwah received an information through reliable sources that some unknown persons at Ganai Mohalla Beerwah were illegally procuring Kerosene oil from illicit channels and were selling the same to one Mushtaq Ahmad Ganai son of Ali Muhammad Ganai resident of Ganai Mohalla Beerwah at his residential premises.
On receipt of this information, a police party of Police Station Beerwah along with Executive Magistrate raided the specific spot and seized a vehicle (Tata-mobile) bearing registration number *JK04E-5086* loaded with three barrels containing approximately *300 litres* of illegally procured Kerosene oil from the residential premises of Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie, police said
The driver of said vehicle identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Wani son of Abdul Rahim Wani resident of Lawarmunda Qazigund alongwith accused Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie were arrested on the spot, he said.
In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 26/2023 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Beerwah and investigation is in progress, police added further.(KS)
